Founded in 1970 by
Dennis Laidig
We Serve
our riders with care, knowledge and state of the art equipment. If
you wondered what we could do for you –this article should
answer all of your questions.
The Reason for opening the shop
was simple. As a Motocross and Hare Scrambles rider, Denny quickly
found that there was no one dealer in the dirt bike business that
could answer his needs. Prepared with a machinist’s background
and determined to never stop his education in the service of
two stroke bikes Denny opened Laidig’s Cycle.
The first franchise obtained by Denny were, Monark, DKW, Sachs
and CZ.
Since 1970 , Denny has has also been a dealer for:
Penton, Montesa, Bultaco, Maico, Rokon, Hodaka, Can-Am, Ski-Doo, Moto
Guzzi, Ducati, Cagiva, and Husquavarna.
In 1975, Denny's wife Candace joined her
husband Dennis in the business and added some services. For one, a
mail order business for the parts inventories. Along with that, of
course, we started advertising in the national publications for
shipping parts.
In 1990, we made the really big changes. We got rid of all
the bikes and the parts for everything except KTM. We changed our
name to Holeshot Engineering. That means we no longer carry parts
for other dirt bikes. Just KTM.

PARTS ARE OUR GAME
We pride ourselves on stocking the parts
that our riders will need to keep their KTM’s on the tracks and
trails.
We ship parts around the globe. Our customers
know that when they place an order, it will be promptly shipped.
Keeping our KTM riders happy is very important to
all of us. We
are always either at the shop or on the trails with our riders.
Holeshot has received yearly awards from KTM USA for our customer
service. Our new bike riders enjoy many benefits. Our "Pro
Prepped" KTM’s are a sure hit. Our riders appreciate the time
Denny invests in the set up of their KTM. We did a newsletter for
our KTM riders before the Internet. We keep our riders up to date
with all that they want to know about racing and riding and Wayne
National Forest. We offer our riders several riding adventure
weekends. Like a Florida Trail ride over the holidays and to
Lancaster, Ohio for our ‘get away’ weekends. We ride the Florida
Alligator Enduro and the Colorado 500. Denny takes a group of guys
to Florida to ride the first week of March every year. We ride as
many southern Ohio Enduro’s as we all can work into our schedule.
Our involvement in this sport has allowed us the advantages of
traveling to different areas in the USA to compete and to offer
our technical assistance to our riders.
We are involved with the National GNCC
series. Denny has set up Malcolm Smiths KTM for
the Colorado 500 and worked with Heinz "Kini" Kinigadner at the
Nevada Rally.
