THANKS FOR SENDING MY PARTS OWEN |
Hi Candy,
Happy New Year to you too!
I've been meaning to get around to this for a long time, sorry for the
delay. I just wanted to say thanks again for all the help you provided in
expediting the parts I needed so badly when I was stuck in the boonies in
Texas just before Thanksgiving. The attention you gave my problem, your
concern and committment to getting the parts to me as soon as possible was
remarkable. I remain impressed that the part got from Ohio to such a remote
location in Texas in one day. I can't tell you how much I appreciated your
efforts. Your closing line in this email "We are your KTM Parts Lifesaver!"
was certainly true for me (Life-saver might be a little strong, but
certainly Trip-saver is no exageration)..
When we talked I remember promising you that I'd give you an update on how
the rest of the trip turned out. Here's a brief summary.
Being broken down for a day did turn out to have a silver lining. While
waiting for the part in a motel, another motorcyclist also traveling to Big
Bend National Park noticed my bike sitting in the motel parking lot. He
stopped and we struck up a conversation. Turns out he's a Spaniard who was
traveling from Miami, FL to San Diego. He decided to get a room at the motel
and we got some dinner and spent the rest of the evening talking about
bikes, his trip so far, and other similar important issues.Getting to know
Miquel was one of the better points of the trip.
Once the parts arrived, I installed them and headed for Big Bend. I arrive
late in the evening, set up my tent and camped in the park that night. I
spent the next day riding on and off road in the park seeing a lot of what
the park has to offer. As I started to run out of daylight I headed for the
Interstate for the 350 mile return to my Uncle's home in San Antonio,
arriving at about 11pm. I spent a couple of days at his house and then
struck out for Minnesota on Sunday arriving home on Monday.
When all was said and done, it was a good trip, break down and all. Because
of you efforts I was able to do and see all of the things that I had
originally intended to do.
Attached is a picture to give you a taste of Big Bend.
Best Regards,
Troy

I received my package today with out incident.
So indeed the UPS at
this end was the problem of the previous shipment. What impressed me
was the way this order was packaged. Someone took great care in
protecting the contents. It certainly was worth the cost of handling.
Thank you.
Your efforts are obvious that you care about your
work. Thanks again

Thanks Candy, All is good here. I have and will
continue coming to
you guys, because of your and Denny's service and personal attention.
I'd rather wait for you guys to get and order filled than either of
the local dealers here!
Have nice weekend,

Hi Denny
I only just received the parts yesterday, they were held up at the customs
airport, i had to send then copy of my drivers licence and fill
in a form with my basically verifying the parts were mine. So eventually
they turned up. Thank you so much for all you have done.
The kids loved the 2 lollies that were included-they thought that was
something special all the way from America and my son has straightened
all the newspaper from the package to show the kids at school just how cheap
your vehicles are in America.
Thanks again

Hey Denny,
I ordered a piston from you guys yesterday evening. About 6pm. I figured I
would not get it till friday as I ordered so late. Well anyways I woke up
today and there it was. I just wanted to say thank you for the VERY FAST
shipping, and even the care taken in wrapping stuff up before you sent it.
My phone call when I placed the order was handled great and very
pleasent as well!!!
I wanted you to know that this means quite a lot to me, and that in my
experience good customer service seems to be an oddity these days..., so
thanx for being odd!! :-)
You will for sure be getting more busseniss from me down the road even
though it does mean paying a bit more than other places I could go through.
I can get 15% off through one KTM parts house, but
customer service wasn't as good, and wait times longer. So when I need it
now and my local dealer doesn't have it you are getting the call.
Once again I just wanted to say thanks for being really decent to
work with and this first order has left a good impression.
I want you to know that, and that at least
to this customer good service is worth the extra $
Thanx again,
Shawn

Denny and Candice, Was thinking about my
Guzzi experience over the last 25 years and decided to google Denny
Laidig to see if you were
still around. I was pleased to find that you have found such success
with KTM. Back in the early 1980s you milled the stuck exhaust nut out
of my Ambasador head, did a killer 3 angle valve job, and put new seals
in my trans. I also bought a bunch of exaust and other parts to
finish
the job. I always enjoyed dealing with you folks and wished you still did
Guzzi stuff. Glad to hear it goes well for you both.

I am just writing a short note to thank
you for your wonderful service in locating a
second hand rear shock for me during my short stay in New York.
I have mentioned your service level to many of the biking dudes and I am
certain they will also use Holeshot Engineering in the near
future (all my
riding mates are airline pilots). I had the "new" shock altered to
fit my bike just in time for the ride of a
lifetime into the Drakensburg mountains...

I just wanted to email you and your company and
family, and tell you THANK YOU!!! You just don't know how hard it is to
get KTM parts around where we live. We have tried to get them from
dealers in our state and that live close by and we never seem to get
them in time. I have order twice with your company and I have really
been happy with your service. I love how you always keep us informed on
the order. You let us know that you have received the order. You give
us the tracking numbers on package. I am having a really hard time now
with one of my sons sponsors, that are out of state, in getting stuff
that is needed. This has been going on for a month already and I still
have not received the stuff I ordered and paid for already. I have had
to return several things back to them because they did not get the order
correctly. And this was even after I talked to them on the phone about
it. You just don't know how greatful I am to find a company like yours.
Thank you so much.

Thank you all so much. I placed my order on Monday
and got my stuff on Thursday Brilliant!!!!!!! :) Your web site is way
better than messing with the dealership. I'm not sure where they get
parts from but the norm is 10 to 14 days to get anything for the KTM's.
If possible, I would like to have a few more of the orange oblong
holeshotktm.com stickers. I'll pass them out to the other dad's and
mom's at the track :)

quick response. We received our parts yesterday as you promised and the bike

Hello Denny and Candy,
I wanted to write you and thank you for the outstanding service you have
provided me.
I have been involved in motorcycle racing for over 30 years and have never
found a dealer the would go to such great lengths for a customer.
From having all the parts I need in stock, to help in coordinating the
shipping of my bike with the freight company.
I am impressed with the amount of preparation that went into bike. I
consider myself to be very particular with bike prep and maintenance.
Denny had taken care of things that I never thought of. I saved the the list
of items taken care of and have added it to my own list of maintenance
items.
I'm still confused how all these things could have been done in two days and
above all. NO CHARGE FOR IT!
You two are the best.

I just wanted to say thanks for your prompt

Dear Holeshot-
I thought we were set with a couple of Kawasaki KX 65's for my son. Then
KTM had to go and re-design the SX 65. Suddenly, my little racer announces
that he has "[uni-laterally] decided to ride orange" because "geez Dad, it
looks just like Langston's bike." As I explained to my wife, "the kid is
right, it looks just like the Zulu Warrior's bike--we gotta look trick!"
Oh sure, we were warned by "Greenies" that 'KTM mini parts are scarce and
tech support non-existent.' Nonetheless, in the name of 'looking trick' we
took the plunge. As riding hours were compiled, so was our list of needed
parts. A quick call to our local KTM dealer led to a discovery that KTM
mini parts were 'scarce' and no one at the dealership knew anything about
tech support except one parts salesman who offered he had heard "somethin'
about goin' up a tooth on the rear." Great! Nothing like quality tech
support, right? Anyhoo, a quick query on an MX message board resulted in a
"tip" to remember but one name for KTM parts and advice--HOLESHOT.
Net result? Parts cheerfully shipped the next day. Better yet, how about a
retailer who makes a 'special trip up the road' to KTM North America to
insure that a part would be timely received prior to an amateur national
event! WOW!!! Ummmm, sorry Candy, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that
last one.
Thanks a million for treating us like we are your most important customer.
To be sure, we are confident that you treat all your customers this way
which, in the long run, will serve to insure your continued success.

SERVICE-SERVICE-SERVICE
In the costly sport of motorcross, price is not everything. Try telling
your 5 year old son he can not race this weekend because the parts for his
bike did not come in yet. At holeshot, I always get my parts in time with
excellent customer service. For example, This winter I ordered some parts
to do rebuilds on the bikes. The order was confirmed. Later that night I
get a call from Candy, She said a couple of the parts were not in stock and
they would have to pick them up in the morning from KTM and would not be
delivered until Monday. She wanted to make sure I could wait until Monday
and did not need them for a race. I could not get parts for the bikes from
the people I bought them from, much less service like that. They are top of
the line people keeping our top of the line (KTM) bikes racing. I know
where my next bikes will come from, Denis and Candy at Holeshot.
SERVICE is why I buy from Holeshot!

I have had a few bad experiences with parts people.. An
example would be
driving 40 minutes to the KTM dealer and then waiting on a line for 15
minutes.
Then becoming totally frustrated when the parts person is taking phone
calls while he is supposed to be waiting on me. To top it off ,the parts I
ordered were supposed to be shipped to me when they arrived at the dealer .
They never shipped to me. I finally need the parts so badly that I call
another dealer
who actually had the part in stock. I drove to that dealer and wasted half
a Saturday but got the parts, fixed the bike and got my son to the starting
gate Sunday.
Holeshot is fast and easy. The only drawback is the prices are a bit high
If they offered assistance to young racers on pricing that would make it
perfect

Hey Candy,
I'm honored :) :)
Why do I buy my parts from HoleShot??
That's an easy one.
I've been racing off road bikes since 1970. Over all those years I've met a
lot of dealers, parts suppliers. When I first called HoleShot after finding
the web site,I was amazed at how friendly they were. I had purchased a used
'97 125 SX at I was trying to convert to a Hare Scramble machine. I had no
parts manuals, just a ton of questions. I must have spent a better part of
an hour talking to them, all the while I was treated like I was the most
important thing in their life then. I was steered down the right road with
parts, not just shoved out the door. They talked to me as though I was a
long time friend. I always recieve all the parts I order on time, and most
times a heads up tip that always gets me out of trouble, getting me to the
starting line on Sunday. I only wish I lived within driving distance to meet
the staff and say hello.

the reason I buy my parts from holeshot are ,
1 - the great array of parts that are available from their inventory,
2 - the timely delivery of parts when they were promised,
3- the very cordial interest in my needs as a buying customer, when a
person needs parts for their bike they don't like to wait, they need them
now!!!!
4- thank you for the excellent service , you got me going when i needed
it , right away .

I get parts for my Duke from Holeshot because they know
what they're talking about. They have them in stock, or they can go down the
street to the distributor to get them. Their prices are fair. Nothing else
really matters.
C P
L.A., CA
How's that for quotable.
For a story:
I got my '96 Duke from out of state heavily discounted, and had a
starting problem. I called the local dealer, and the response from the owner
was, "You didn't buy it here, so why should I work on it." So he obviously
wasn't getting any of my parts business. When I called Denny at Holeshot he
was open with advice, both over the phone and by e-mail. I ended up driving
80 miles to Malcolm Smith's and they fixed it with help from the
distributor. I could order parts from them, but there was only one KTM parts
guy to talk to, and just didn't get the personal service I got from Denny &
Candy when I was trying to fix my starting problem myself. Turned out the
first e-start bikes had the decompession cam from the kick start bikes and
wouldn't start on the e-starter.
C Parkinson
L.A., CA
Although one time you (Candy) sent me a used radiator, and it was lightly
damaged. Quite a few weeks later, due to my schedule, I sent an e-mail just
asking if it didn't work, or couldn't be fixed, would I be able to return
it. I got back what seemed to be a harsh e-mail from Denny saying no, and he
had no record or memory of it, and too much time had passed, and other
rules, regulations, and excuses. I felt a bit put off by the tone of it, and
happily I was able to spend $20 and get it welded up so I got a $250 part
for $120. So, it ended up fine. But could I suggest that if one of you is in
a bad mood, to let the other one deal with the public.
So, there you got both good and bad, with more on the good side. And my
continuing business.
Thanks,
C Parkinson

Let me say this first , I've been riding KTM'S for a
little over a year. And with 22 Year's of moto under my skin I've ridden for
and delt with a few dealership's along the way,HOLESHOT KTM has to rank as
"one" of only "two" of what I would truly call rider friendly shop's, for
instance,I suffered from a sever case of brain fade doing a gold valve
install on my fork's,broken part's resulting, the part was not available
separately but as a $200 plus unit , Denny Happened to be going to the KTM
HQ for a toys for tots drive and said he would check in the shop there
before ordering the $200 unit, Denny found the individual piece at the race
shop and saved me $150, now I'm sure eight out ten shop's would have just
sold you the $200 part less trouble, more money. By the way I live
Virginia,HOLESHOT'S in Ohio so we're not riding buddies, there just a rider
friendly shop,so if you need a KTM part or whatever, please call Denny or
Candy at HOLESHOT KTM !

After terrible experiences with my local KTM dealers I
came upon the Holeshot site and gave it a try for my
next parts order. I was so impressed by the way I was
treated on the phone and how fast I got all of my
parts that I have been telling all my friends and I
order my parts from Holeshot whenI need them. When I
want parts I want them now,no BO's, no BS. But my
story does not end there. One day I did some serious
damage to my engine cases that I felt could be
warranteed but the local dealer where I got the bike
new went out of bussiness. I called Denny at Holeshot
and he got my cases replaced by KTM and all it cost me
was the shipping.Denny did not know me and he did not
get paid anything for helping me. I don't know any
dealer that would have done that for me.I have been
racing KTM's for 30 years and for the next 20 years I
will be getting my parts from Holeshot because I have
never dealt with anyone as good as Denny and Candice.

I have bought all my parts from Holeshot for the last 10
years. I have learned to appreciate several things about Holeshot- They
always have the parts I need which keeps me riding; They take the time to
make sure I get the right parts and suggest related parts or supplies I
might need to complete what I am doing, and if I don't need a part they let
me know. All these things save me time and money. Several times I have
called Holeshot to order a part, and after discussing my problem they
determined I really needed something else. The experience they have being a
KTM-only dealer is hard to put a price on.

The main reason I buy from Holeshot is:
Holeshot is one of the few dealerships I have dealt with that I can actually
count on to ship the parts in a timely fashion. I have in the past ordered

and corrected my mistake! Thanks, keep up the personal service, it is
appreciated.

My name is T. Lawrence and I currently own 4 KTM motorcycles. I have been
riding dirt bikes since 1970 and KTMs since 1982. I recently moved to Grants
Pass Oregon. Since there is not a KTM dealer nearby I usually purchase my
parts on-line. I use Holeshot on-line because I have been logging onto the
Forums for some time now. The parts are almost always in stock and the
shipping is at least as fast as going to a shop. I recently was looking for
a part that was not in stock (anywhere in USA, believe me I checked). I had
snapped a fork compression stack nut and the bike was out of commision
without it. The good people at Holeshot offered to take one off of one of
their own personal bikes to send to me. Now that is service. I will continue
to use Holeshot and would recommend it to anyone.

Hi Candy and Denny:
I'm another customer that just have nice things to say about your dealer.
Although I have my local dealer that I'm happy with, I have Holeshot as a
very good resourse!
I'm riding KTM's since 1983 when I used to be puertorrican champion. When I
moved to Ohio I discovered my resourses pretty quickly for my KTM needs and
I give good faith about Holeshot. Last year my 1999 exc 250 had a
catastrophic break in the 2 day enduro at Wellston Ohio, breaking parts
nobody had in stock. I believe KTM had some problems since they just started
their new warehouse.
I needed a seat and called Holeshot and felt they went the extra mile when
Candy informed me she will pick up a seat for my bike at KTM in Amherst.
Indeed she did and got my part on time since was shipped promptly. I had
other experiences like when Denny special ordered my external adjusters for
the forks since I could not find them anywhere...they simply could say was
discontinued!
Not to mention their knowledge about the sport, their support to it, and
always they are nice to the customer.
I really believe they stand behind their brand, customers and
business....just the way to go since there are a lot of choices, but few
really good ones when it comes to being an awesome dealer.

Holeshot,
We have purchased parts three different ways (online,
over the phone and at the shop). We have been very
pleased with all three. Parts are always shipped same
day or the next day. Your web site has been very
helpful. KTM should be greatful they have a shop like
holeshot. The fact is, any hi- performance 50cc bike
is going to need a lot of care. Holeshot provides the
parts (In-Stock) and information. Can't beat holeshot.
My son races AMA and CRA. If you want, send some
stickers and we will put them on the bike. At the
track I run into dads and moms asking where we get our
parts and I always tell them holeshot. Then the next
time I see them they tell me what I already knew.
Great service and the part was in stock when everyone
else was out of. Keep up the good work. J. Weber

backordered. Plus, the stuff is usually shipped the same day which means I
get my parts within 2 days living here in Philly.
About a year ago I tried getting the kickstand spring from a local "KTM
dealer" (mostly sold Honda and Yamaha...) and they said 2-3 weeks for the
part...telling me they were on backorder at KTM.... BS!!!!!
Went online with Holeshot, had the part in 2 days....cheaper too!!!
I can't really site any particular order that stands out in my mind since
I've never had a problem with any of them. I order it online, it shows up 2
days later....perfect!!!
I definitely like the quick response order confirmation and shipping emails.
It's nice to know when your parts leave the building.
I'll continue to buy my KTM parts from Holeshot.
Thanks, and keep up the awesome work!

You guys are welcome to reproduce or edit the post. I suspect alot of
parents hear the same "parade of horribles" about KTM mini's. We thought
the comment might strike a familiar chord out there in internet land, and,
just maybe, encourage others to take the orange plunge. Without you guys,
we would be on Green/Yellow (Kawazuki???) bikes again. E. Hagler.

My son and I have three KTM motorcycles. We live in
Florida and bought them from three different dealers. When I need any new
items or replacement parts I've always found them available from Holeshot.
I've also received information from Denny when the Allen nut filter screen
on the bottom of my 520 motor needed to be replaced and he responded to my
email telling me how to properly remove it without tearing up the motor.
I've owned different brand bikes and enjoy the fact that Holeshot always
comes through in a pinch when parts or advise is needed. Other shops make a
lot of promises but just keep you waiting. Shipping is fast and courteous.
They even sound nice on the telephone too. Running the web site is
expensive, yet they continue to do it for the betterment of information
exchange and at no cost to the user. Outstanding job!

In June of 2002 I needed a stator and rear support plate for a 2001 KTM 50
pro jr. All the KTM dealers I contacted said that there were no stators to
be had and that the support plate was backordered. I got your web address
from a friend at the track and gave Holeshot a try. Not only were the parts
in stock but they were at my door within 48 hours. Since then I have ordered
many parts and accesories at great prices with great satisfaction and told
many others about you.
Thanks

I've been riding and racing motorcycles for the past 33 years and can pretty
much tell after the first few minutes at a parts counter, or after a phone
call to a dealer, if I'm wasting my time and/or money. I placed my first
parts order with Holeshot in February 2001,mainly because I was impressed
with their website. I have been doing business with them ever since. I enjoy
dealing with people who know their product and know their customers' needs
even better.

There are a lot of qualified KTM dealers out there that deserve support.
But when I need a part shipped from stock the same day, I call Holeshot. For
me, they have a 100% track record of sending me what I need FAST.
It's all about track time, not down time. KTM dealers in general seem to
understand this, and Holeshot has come through every time.
Free Email support all hours of the day and night is just an added bonus.
It's clear that Denny knows KTM motorcycles and KTM America better than most.

Although my 2001 KTM 520SX has been very reliable, as with most high
performance machines, there are certain maintenance schedules that should be
followed. Usually when doing a thorough breakdown, preventive maintenance is
all that is required. This not only helps with a bikes reliability but also
spotlights dealer support and parts availability. I do support my local
dealers, but when my part needs go beyond gaskets, nuts and bolts, my first
call is to Holeshot. They usually have what I'm looking for in stock and if
not, the turn around is days not weeks. Fantastic support.

Hi Denny
Just a little note to tell you that Derrick, the suspension guy @ BBR was
impressed with the shock seal kit you sent me, said it's tough to get as
complete a kit as that. I told him that, though I try to support my local dealer - to a point - just
to make sure they stay in business, when I need something, need it now and
need it right, there's only one number I call. Have a Happy 4th
